Zu den Zeiten als dieses Kraftwerk gebaut wurde gab es weder DLNA, noch iTunes geschweige Spotify. Höchste Zeit, diesen feinen Verstärker nachzurüsten fragt sich nur womit? Der Möglichkeiten gibt es viele, entscheidend ist die aktuelle Situation. Neben den analogen Tonquellen möchte ich auch meine digitalen Konserven streamen. Eine über mehrere Räume verteilte Beschallung ist (im Moment noch) kein Thema. Es kann also etwas Einfaches sein. Per Zufall bin ich auf Produkte der Firma Audiocast gestossen und konnte das Modell „iEAST AudioCast M5“ günstig erwerben. Das Gerät(chen) wird via Smartphone konfiguriert. Die Stromversorgung erfolgt via USB und der analoge Ausgang ist ein 3.5mm Klinkenstecker.

Zu Beginn der Inbetriebnahme muss das WLAN (2.4GHz) konfiguriert werden. Das ist der grösste Knackpunkt. Danach wird’s einfach: Eingangspegel für den Verstärker anpassen. Streaming Dienst auswählen, und los geht’s. Der Revox B750 (und meine Lausprecher) sind auch mit gestreamter Musik voll im Element. Zur Steuerung dient mein Smartphone. Das mutiert langsam aber sicher zur modernen Fernbedienung.

By chance I came across products of the company Audiocast and was able to buy the model "iEAST AudioCast M5" at a low price. The device(s) is configured via smartphone. The power is supplied via USB and the analog output is a 3.5mm jack plug.

The WLAN (2.4GHz) must be configured at the beginning of the commissioning. This is the biggest sticking point. After that it's easy: Adjust the input level for the amplifier. Select streaming service and off you go. The Revox B750 (and my loudspeakers) are in their element even with streamed music. My smartphone is used for control. This is slowly but surely mutating into a modern remote control.

Winterbetrieb im Hafen des Lachenareals. In diesem Jahr kehrt hier keine Ruhe ein. Die Anlage (Schwimmstege etc.) werden erneuert. Die arbeiten sind voll im Gange und beim schönem Wetter ist genug Publikum vorhanden. Neuerdings ist die Buvette im Strandbad Thun geöffnet. Das leibliche Wohl des Publikums ist somit sichergestellt.
