Über die Schönheit von Landschaften kann Mann/Frau ewig diskutieren; es ist wie mit dem Fotografieren: Das Bild entsteht im Kopf. Die Kamera ist nur die technische Ausrüstung dazu. Zum Jahresende einige Panoramen aus dem Emmental und der Region Thunersee.

Kreative Blockaden - Creative Blockages

Der Fotograf Travis Hodges empfiehlt in seinem Beitrag für die Firma Canon: „Take 2‘400 steps to cure your creative block“. Nützlich ist diese Empfehlung nicht nur bei kreative Blockaden, sondern auch als Training (oder als Zeitvertrieb).

Ich selbe brachte es nur auf gut 2000 Schritte in meiner Heimatstadt Thun. Obwohl mir diese Stadt seit Jahrzehnten bekannt ist, treffe ich immer wieder auf neue Details. Durch die Einschränkung auf die Anzahl der Bilder und den Raum wird die Aufgabe noch interessanter.

Für diejenigen, die ähnliche Herausforderungen suchen gibt es das Buch „Kreative Fotoaufgaben“.  Sehr empfehlenswert.

The photographer Travis Hodges recommends in his article for the company Canon: "Take 2'400steps to cure your creative block". Useful is this recommendation not only for creative blocks, but also as training (or for fun).
I was only able to do it well over 2000 steps in my hometown Thun. Although I've known this city for decades, I keep coming up with new details. By limiting the number of images and the space, the task becomes even more interesting.

Histogramm

Schneehase im Schnee, Schwarze Katze im Eisenbahntunnel. Man kennt sie ja die berühmten Beispiele aus den Lehrbüchern mit den entsprechenden Empfehlungen wie Mann/Frau solche Situationen meistern kann. (Hier ein sehr gutes Beispiel: Link). Das funktioniert auch heute noch genauso gut. Eine Alternative wäre/ist das Histogramm. Auch dazu gibt es unzählige Bücher und Videos. Man muss es selber mal probieren. 
Kürzlich an einem verregneten/verschneiten Sonntag besuchte ich den örtlichen Friedhof. Bei diesem Wetter noch etwas trister als sonst. Einzig die verschneiten Grabfiguren brachten etwas Stimmung auf. Weisse/helle Figuren im Schnee – genau das ist doch in etwa die Situation Schneehase im Schnee.  Da auf meiner SONY NEX5 ein altes Hexanon 52mm Objektiv montiert ist, habe ich genügend Zeit den Bildausschnitt zu wählen, zu fokussieren und die Belichtung zu wählen. Mit dem auf dem Display zu Verfügung stehenden Histogramm konnte ich nun die Belichtung wählen. Schlussendlich verglich ich die Belichtung mit der „old fashioned“ Methode. Stimmt zu 100%. Was will man mehr? 

Snow hare in the snow, Black cat in the railway tunnel. One knows them well the famous examples from the textbooks with the appropriate recommendations how man/woman can master such situations (Here's a very good example: Link). That works just as well today. An alternative would be /is the histogram. There are also countless books and videos around. You have to try it yourself. Recently, on a rainy / snowy Sunday, I visited the local cemetery. In this weather, a bit grated than usual. Only the snowy grave figures brought some mood. White/bright figures in the snow - that's just the situation of the snow hare in the snow. Since my SONY NEX5 is equipped with an old 52mm Hexanon lens, I have enough time to select the image, focus and choose the exposure. With the available histogram on the display I could now choose the exposure. Finally, I compared the exposure with the "old fashioned" method. True to 100%. What more do you want?
