Früher gab es den Ausverkauf, heute nennt man dies “Sale“. Es scheint, dass der Ausverkauf aus vergangenen Zeit zu einem dauerhaften Zustand genannt „Sale“ mutiert ist.  So geht man am späteren Nachmittag/Abend durch die Stadt und trifft diesen Dauerzustand in jedem Geschäft an. Winterruhe - Winter sleep

Es ist immer noch Winter und die Sportboote befinden sich im Winterschlaf. Ihre Besitzer versuchen ihre Boote von der Witterung zu schützen. Diese Schutzmassnahmen sind oft auf  interessante/witzige Art umgesetzt. Deren Wirkung ist meiner Meinung nach eher fraglich. Spätestens im Frühling wenn die Boote in ihr angestammtes Element kommen, sieht man wie sie den Winter überstanden haben.

It is still winter and the pleasure boats are hibernating. Their owners try to protect their boats from the weather. These protective measures are often implemented in an interesting / funny way. Their effect is in my opinion rather questionable. At least in spring when the boats come into their ancestral element, you can see how they survived the winter.
