Homo Migrans – Museum – Frei / Free

Die Drei Plakate traf ich zufällig am Bahnhof Papiermühle in Bern:

• Das erste Plakat wirbt für eine Ausstellung («Homo Migrans»)
• Das zweit den freien Eintritt in die Museen von Bern
• Das dritte Plakat wirbt für ein Fachgeschäft für Orthopädie.

Aber alle Plakate haben eine gewisse Beziehung zueinander.

I met the three posters by chance at the railway station Papiermühle in Bern: 

• The first poster advertises an exhibition ("Homo Migrans")
• The second advertises free admission to the museums of Bern
• The third poster advertises a specialist orthopaedics shop (it’s name is «Frei» in engl «free»).

But all posters have a certain relationship to each other.

Eisenbahnwagen sind robust; sie sind jahrelang unterwegs (oft auf der gleichen Strecke). So auch diese Güterwagen mit den auf ihnen angebrachten Graffiti. Das erste Mal sind sie mir im April 2018 aufgefallen. Das Güterwagen sind dieselben, das Thema ist immer noch aktuell.

Railway carriages are rugged; they are on the rails for years (often on the same route). So are these freight cars with the graffiti on them. The first time I noticed them was in April 2018. The carriages are the same, the topic is still relevant.

Huch? - Oops!

Da ging definitv etwas schief...

Something definitely went wrong...

Graffiti - Spray painting

Sprayereien trifft man heutzutage überall an. Sehr oft sinnlos und noch am falschen Ort. Rätselhaft erschienen mir diese Markierung auf der Fahrbahn dieser Strasse. Weder künstlerisch noch politisch motiviert.

You can find spray painting all over the place these days. Very often pointless and still in the wrong place. I was puzzled by these markings on the roadway of this street. Neither artistically nor politically motivated.

Des Rätsels Lösung fand ich am folgenden Tag: Wartungsarbeiten am Abwassersystem! Im Gegensatz zu den Graffitis an den Hauswänden sind diese Markierungen in der Zwischenzeit wieder entfernt worden…

I found the solution the following day: Maintenance work on the sewage system! In contrast to the graffiti on the house walls, these markings have been removed in the meantime...
