Ds Horu - Matterhorn - Cervin - Cervino

Ds Horu – so nennen die Einheimischen das Matterhorn. Es ist ein Berg mit einer eindrucksvollen Silhouette (zumindest vom Dorf Zermatt aus). Und natürlich eines der Markenzeichen in und für die Schweiz. Über die vergangenen Jahre hatte ich das Glück und Privileg Zermatt mehrere Male zu besuchen zu dürfen. Und jedes Mal fotografierte ich diesen Berg von verschiedenen Aufnahmeorten aus: Der gleiche Berg, aber immer wieder doch etwas anderes.

Ds Horu - that's what the locals call the Matterhorn. It is a mountain with an impressive silhouette (at least from the village of Zermatt). And of course one of the hallmarks in and for Switzerland. Over the past few years, I have had the fortune and privilege of visiting Zermatt several times. And every time I photographed this mountain from different locations: The same mountain, but always something different.

Instant Buddhas

Und plötzlich standen Buddha Statuen auf dem Vorplatz eine Büro Gebäudes. Woher sie kamen weiss niemand. Nach 2 Tagen waren die Statuen wieder weg...

Suddenly Buddha statues stood on the forecourt of an office building. Nobody knows from where they came. After 2 days the statues were gone again ...

Volldampf – Fullsteam

Sie nennen sich „Fullsteam Jazzband“ und spielen Dixieland-Jazz. Angetroffen habe ich sie am „Tag der offenen Werft“ (Samstag, 24. und Sonntag, 25. März 2018) in Thun wo die BLS AG ihre neue Schiffswert der Öffentlichkeit vorstellte. Was die sechs Musiker der Full Steam Jazzband boten, gehört zur Spitzenklasse. Mit Ihrem Auftritt sammelt die Fullsteam Jazz Band Geld für das Dampschiff „Spiez“ welches eine neue Dampfmaschine erhält (Dieses Schiff wird mit grossem Aufwand restauriert).

They call themselves "Fullsteam Jazzband" and play Dixieland Jazz. I met them at the "open shipyard day" (Saturday, 24th and Sunday, 25th March 2018) in Thun where BLS AG presented their new shipyard to the public. What the six musicians of the Full Steam Jazzband offered is one of the top class. With their performance, the Fullsteam Jazz Band collects money for the steamship "Spiez" which receives a new steam engine (This ship is restored with great effort).
