Photo Münsingen 2026

Die Ausstellung Photo Münsingen war der jährliche Treffpunkt für Fotografinnen und Fotografen, Fotoklubs und dem fotointeressierten Publikum - und das seit dem Jahr 2000! 25-mal fand die Ausstellung über Auffahrt auf dem Schlossgut Areal von Münsingen statt. Aus meiner Sicht ein idealer Zeitraum: Auffahrt bedeutet für die Meisten 4 freie Tage mit kleinen Einschränkungen (der Auffahrtstag [immer ein Donnerstag] ist ein religiöser Feiertag und der darauffolgende Freitag wird mittels Ferien bzw. Überzeit/Gleitzeit überbrückt. Was tun mit 4 "freien" Tagen? Man könnte zum Beispiel in den Süden fahren. Unter der Voraussetzung, dass man stundenlange Staus auf der Autobahn in Kauf nimmt. Meiner Meinung nach ist Photo Münsingen mit seinen Ausstellungen die Lösung (besser gesagt war es). Mindestens 1 Tag (in der Regel 2 oder sogar 3 Tage) sollte man sich dafür Reservieren. Doch dies ist nun vorbei. Photo Münsingen fand zum letzten Mal statt. Der Gründe gibt es offenbar mehrere. Einfach ist es nicht, solche Anlässe über einen grösseren Zeitraum durchzuführen. Davon können viele Vereine „ein Lied davon singen“.

Dieses Jahr besuchte ich die Ausstellung zweimal. Einmal bei regnerischem Wetter an Auffahrt und bei sonnigem warmem Wetter am Sonntag. Zu entdecken gab es auch diesmal viel. Aufgefallen sind mir Künstlerinnen und Künstler, deren Bilder weit über den Begriff Photographie gehen (darum verwende ich auch den Ausdruck Künstler/Künstlerin und nicht Fotograf/Fotografin).

Es sind dies:

• Frau Katerina Belkina mit dem Thema "Grimms Märchen"
• Frau Lili Roze mit dem Thema "Aus Oiseaux"
• Herr Giles Revell mit dem Thema "DANCER"
• Herr Guido Klumpe mit dem Thema "URBAN ESSENCE".

Wichtig für mich persönlich ist die Würde von fotografierten Personen. Ein Aspekt wo man (meiner Meinung nach) heutzutage in den Medien oft die Schmerzgrenze überschreitet. In diesem Kontext haben mir die Bilder von Carlos Leal mit dem Thema "heroes of another story" sehr gut gefallen.

The Photo Münsingen exhibition was the annual meeting place for photographers, photo clubs and the photo-interested public - and has been since 2000! The exhibition took place 25 times on the grounds of the Münsingen castle estate. From my perspective, it's an ideal time: Ascension Day means four days off for most people, with a few minor restrictions (Ascension Day [always a Thursday] is a religious holiday, and the following Friday is usually covered by vacation time or overtime/flextime). What to do with four "free" days? One could, for example, travel south. Provided, of course, that one is prepared to endure hours of traffic jams on the motorway. In my opinion, Photo Münsingen, with its exhibitions, is the solution (or rather, was). At least one day (usually two or even three) should be reserved for it. But this is now over. Photo Münsingen took place for the last time. There are apparently several reasons. It's not easy to organize such events over an extended period. Many clubs and associations can attest to that. This year, I visited the exhibition twice: once in rainy weather on Ascension Day and again on sunny, warm Sunday. There was plenty to discover this time as well. I was particularly struck by the artists whose paintings... going far beyond the concept of photography (which is why I use the term artist and not photographer).

 

These are:

• Ms. Lili Roze with the theme "From Oiseaux"
• Mr. Giles Revell with the theme "DANCER"
• Mr. Guido Klumpe with the theme "URBAN ESSENCE".

 

The dignity of the people photographed is important to me personally. This is an aspect where, in my opinion, the media often crosses the line these days. In this context, I particularly liked Carlos Leal's images with the theme "heroes of another story".

Dienstag, 12. Mai unsere Nachbarin «Frau Amsel» hat 4 Eier gelegt. Wir sind gespannt ob es noch weitere Eier gibt.

Sonntag, 17. Mai: Es befinden sich jetzt 5 Eier im Nest von «Frau Amsel». Wir nehmen an, dass sie mit dem Ausbrüten beginnt.

Dienstag 19. Mai: «Frau Amsel» entfernt sich nur für kurze Zeit vom Nest.

Sonntag 24. Mai: Die ersten Jungvögel sind geschlüpft. Wir sind gespannt, ob noch weitere Jungvögel ausschlüpfen.

Montag 25. Mai 04 Uhr 15 Min. Ein Nesträuber (Marder) findet das Nest mit den Jungvögeln und frisst sie alle (inkl. den restlichen Eiern).

Montag 25. Mai 07 Uhr 38 Min «Herr Amsel» will Nahrung für die Jungvögel vorbeibringen und findet ein leeres Nest vor.

Tuesday, 12 May: Our neighbour ‘Mrs Blackbird’ has laid four eggs; we’re curious to see if there are any more.

Sunday, 17 May: There are now five eggs in ‘Mrs Blackbird’s’ nest. We assume she’s starting to incubate them.

Tuesday 19 May: “Mrs Blackbird” leaves the nest only for a short while.

Sunday 24 May: The first chicks have hatched. We are curious to see if any more chicks will hatch.

Monday 25 May, 04:15. A nest predator (marten) finds the nest with the chicks and eats them all (including the remaining eggs).

Monday 25 May, 07:38. ‘Mr Blackbird’ wants to bring food for the chicks and finds an empty nest.

 

 

Ou la triste histoire d'une couvée

Mardi 12 mai : notre voisine « Madame Merle » a pondu 4 œufs ; nous sommes impatients de voir s'il y en a d'autres.

Dimanche 17 mai : il y a désormais 5 œufs dans le nid de « Madame Merle ». Nous supposons qu'elle va commencer à les couver.

Mardi 19 mai : « Madame Merle » ne s'éloigne du nid que brièvement.

 

Dimanche 24 mai : les premiers oisillons ont éclos. Nous sommes impatients de voir si d'autres oisillons vont éclore.

Lundi 25 mai, 4 h 15. Un prédateur (une martre) trouve le nid avec les oisillons et les dévore tous (y compris les œufs restants).

Lundi 25 mai, 7 h 38. «Monsieur Merle» veut apporter de la nourriture aux oisillons et trouve un nid vide.

Überbleibsel / Remnants

Vor gut einer Woche durfte der FCT Thun seinen wohlverdienten Schweizermeister feiern. In der Zwischenzeit ist die Meisterschaft abgeschlossen und die Sommerpause hat begonnen (Die Super League 2025/26 war die 129. Spielzeit der höchsten Schweizer Spielklasse im Fussball der Männer. Sie wurde am 25. Juli 2025 eröffnet und am 17. Mai 2026 beendet.)

Bei der Meisterschaftsfeier waren überall Fahnen und Plakate des Meisters zu sehen. Was bleibt nach gut einer Woche übrig? Nicht viel, aber es hat immer noch einige «Überbleibsel»

In einem bekannten Sprichwort heisst es: «Nach der Meisterschaft ist vor der Meisterschaft». Freuen wir uns auf einen gelungenen Start der Meisterschaft am 24. Juli.

An unforgettable season - of course!

Just over a week ago, FCT Thun celebrated their well-deserved Swiss championship title. In the meantime, the league season has come to an end and the summer break has begun (The 2025/26 Super League was the 129th season of the top tier of Swiss men’s football. It kicked off on 25 July 2025 and finished on 17 May 2026.)

At the championship celebrations, the champions’ flags and posters were everywhere. What remains after just over a week? Not much, but there are still a few ‘remnants’

As the saying goes: ‘After the championship is before the championship’. Let’s look forward to a successful start to the championship on 24 July.

Gefroren / Frozen

Der Film der aus der Kälte kam – Nein nicht der Roman von John le Carré bzw. der Film mit Richard Burton. Es geht um einen Film: Und zwar um den chromogenen Schwarz/Weiss Film Kodak BW400CN. Dieser wurde 10 Jahre in der Tiefkühltruhe gelagert. Nun habe ich diesen Film mit einer Canon EOS 600 ausgerüstet mit einem 35mm Objektiv belichtet. Chromogene Filme können mit dem standardisierten C-41 Prozess entwickelt werden. So weit so gut, aber wie geht es weiter mit den entwickelten Negativen? Die Lösung: Das Fotolabor «développederrière» entwickelt und scannt Filme. Die eingescannten Negative können via Internet runtergeladen werden. Einfach, schnell und praktisch.

Die ersten Bilder / The first pictures: 

The film that came from the cold – no, not the novel by John le Carré or the film starring Richard Burton. I’m talking about a film: specifically, the KodakBW400CN chromogenic black-and-white film. It had been stored in the deep freeze for 10 years. I’ve now exposed this film using a Canon EOS 600 fitted with a 35mm lens. Chromogenic films can be developed using the standardised C-41process. So far, so good, but what happens next with the developed negatives? The solution: the photo lab ‘développe derrière’ develops and scans films. The scanned negatives can be downloaded via the internet. Simple, quick and practical.
