Monochrome Graffiti?

Graffiti sind in den allermeisten Fällen sehr farbig. Somit machen auch farbige Bilder davon einen Sinn. In meinem Falle machte ich den Versuch (letzten November), Graffiti mit einem Schwarz/Weiss Film (Kodak Tri-X) zu fotografieren. Im Gegensatz zur digital Fotografie braucht es hier wesentlich mehr Zeit. Auch wenn die Entwicklung nur 6m und 30s dauert, so muss der Film dann noch eingescannt (Canon CanoScan 9000F) und bearbeitet werden. Alles zu seiner Zeit…

Das Resultat hat mich überrascht: Ja, es geht sogar recht gut! Anstelle der Farben wirken nun die Strukturen und Kontraste der Graffiti. Ein Alternative, welche ich weiterverfolgen werde.

The result surprised me: Yes, it even goes quite well! Instead of the colours, the structures and contrasts of the graffiti now take effect. An alternative, which I will continue to investigate.

Distanzzone? / Distance zone?

Jeder Mensch hat eine gewisse Distanzzone. Kommt uns jemand zu nahe, fühlen wir uns unwohl oder unter Umständen. Dieser Umstand ist bestens bekannt und wird in der Fachliteratur eingehend behandelt. Wie sieht es aber in der Realität aus bzw. wie äussert sich dieses Bedürfnis jedes Einzelnen nach sozialer Distanz? Aufgefallen ist mir heute folgende Situation: Mittels einem Vorortszug gelang ich an meinen Arbeitsplatz. Der Zugang zum Bahnsteig wird mittels Abschrankungen und automatischen Schiebetüren geregelt. Somit treffen bis zur Abfahrt eines Zuges immer mehr Passagiere bei der betreffend Abschrankung ein. Interessant darin, der Abstand zwischen den Wartenden ist nahezu immer gleich! Sieht aus wie die Figuren auf einem Schachbrett. Hier bestätigt sich die Theorie.
Andererseits bestätigt sich auch eine andere «Theorie»: Sobald die Schiebetüren sich öffnen, strömen die Passagiere zum Zug und nehmen Platz in den Abteilen. Eine der ersten Passagiere der in den Zug steigt ist ein junger dunkelhäutiger Mann. Und genau in diesem Abteil wo dieser junge Mann Absitzt, setzen sich nachfolgend einsteigenden Passagiere erst dann, wenn in den verbleibenden Abteilen kein Platz mehr frei ist…

Every person has a certain distance zone. If someone gets too close to us, we feel uncomfortable, or we may feel threatened. This circumstance is well known and is dealt with in detail in the relevant literature. But how does it look in reality and how does this need for social distance manifest itself? I noticed the following situation today: I got to my workplace by means of a commuter train. Access to the platform is controlled by barriers and automatic sliding doors. This means that more and more passengers arrive at the barrier before a train departs. Interesting in that, the distance between the waiting passengers is almost always the same! Looks like the pieces on a chessboard. Here the theory is confirmed.
On the other hand, another "theory" is confirmed: As soon as the sliding doors open, the passengers stream to the train and take a seat in the compartments. One of the first passengers to board the train is a young dark-skinned man. And exactly in this compartment where this young man is sitting, the following passengers only sit down when there is no more room in the remaining compartments...

Das Leben findet auf den Strassen und Plätzen statt. Voraussetzung dazu ist brauchbares Wetter und natürlich entsprechende Temperaturen. Das ist einer der „kleinen“ Unterschieden von der Schweiz zu anderen Ländern. Meiner Meinung nach ist dieser Unterschied eben nicht "klein". Und Du was meinst Du dazu?

Life takes place in the streets and squares. The prerequisite for this is suitable weather and of course appropriate temperatures. This is one of the "small" differences between Switzerland and other countries. In my opinion this difference is not "small". And what do you think?
