Zumindest kurzfristig. Der Kälteeinbruch mit den Niederschlägen in Form von Schnee hat die Berge mit neuem Schnee versorgt. Etliche Skigebiete haben ihren Winterbetrieb bereits eingestellt (Ostern ist in diesem Jahr recht spät). Einige wenige Skistationen, die höher gelegen sind, haben ihre Bahnen und Lifte noch in Betrieb (zumindest bis und mit Ostern). Dazu gehört auch das Wintersportgebiet Mürren-Schilthorn. Neben den Wintersportlern trifft man nun auch Feriengäste aus dem Ausland an, die das Schilthorn besuchen. Mit dem Resultat, dass die Gondelbahnen auf den Gipfel sehr gut ausgelastet sind. Die Infrastruktur stamm aus den 60er Jahren und wurde laufend ausgebaut. Nun gibt es ein neues Projekt das die in die Jahre gekommene Infrastruktur ablösen soll. Ein genauer Termin wann die neuen Bahnen in Betrieb gehen sollen, ist noch nicht bekannt. Es gibt da sicher einiges zu tun.

At least in the short term. The cold weather with the precipitation in the form of snow has provided the mountains with new snow. Quite a few ski resorts have already stopped their winter operations (Easter is quite late this year). A few ski resorts, which are located higher up, still have their lifts and cable cars in operation (at least until and including Easter). This also includes the winter sports area Mürren-Schilthorn. In addition to winter sports enthusiasts, one now also encounters vacation guests from abroad who visit the Schilthorn. With the result that the gondola lifts to the summit are very well utilized. The infrastructure dates back to the 60s and has been continuously expanded. Now there is a new project to replace the aging infrastructure. An exact date when the new lifts are to go into operation is not yet known. There is certainly a lot to do.
