So würde die Schlagzeile zu der (zu Recht) berühmten Aufnahme des Piano Konzertes von Keith Jarrett vom 24. Januar 1975 lauten. Es gibt dazu viele Geschichten/Mythen unter welchen Umständen diese Aufnahme zustande kam.

Unter anderem soll die berühmte Tonfolge, womit das Konzert begann, vom Pausengong der Oper in Köln stammen. Was offenbar nicht stimmt. Die Alternative ist aber auch nicht viel besser. Darum lassen wir es sein. Tatsache ist, diese Konzertaufnahme ist das erfolgreichste Jazz Solo-Piano-Album. Und verkauft sich noch immer gut. Mit Recht. Nehmen Sie sich Zeit für zwei ganze LPs (ja doppelseitig) in aller Ruhe anzuhören. Es lohnt sich. Au ja, DC, MP3, FLAC oder ein Streaming Dienst funktionieren ebenfalls.

This would be the headline for the (justifiably) famous recording of Keith Jarrett's piano concerto from 24 January 1975. There are many stories/myths about the circumstances under which this recording came about.

Among other things, the famous sequence of notes with which the concerto began is said to have come from the interval chime at the Cologne Opera House. Which is obviously not true. But the alternative is not much better. So let's leave it alone. The fact is, this concert recording is the most successful jazz solo piano album. And still sells well. And rightly so. Take the time to listen to two whole LPs (yes, double-sided) at your leisure. It's worth it. Oh yes, DC, MP3, FLAC or a streaming service will also work.
