Spielt doch keine Rolle oder? Oder doch nicht? In Schwarzenburg findet immer im Herbst ein Pferderennen statt. Interessant daran sind jeweilig die einzelnen Prüfungen: Reiten ohne Sattel, Stuten die von ihren Fohlen begleitet werden oder Stafetten mit Reitern und Mountainbikern. Es gibt auch eine Prüfung die mit römischen Streitwagen durchgeführt wird. Die Wettkämpfer (Reiter sind es ja nicht?) verkleiden sich stilgerecht mit wehender Tunika, Helm etc. Echt spassig. Das ganze findet auf einem gemähten Feld statt. Für Speis und Trank ist gesorgt; da geht's urig zu; vegetarische und vegane Verpflegung gibt's nicht und wird (zumindest vorläufig) nicht benötigt. Als zusätzliche Attraktion erschien in diese Jahr die Bierbrauerei Egger mit ihren Pferden, welche noch heute in der Region Bern im Dienst sind. Fünf Pferde ziehen den Wagen, welche mehr als 2 Tonnen wiegt. Ok, da soll offenbar noch ein sechstes Pferd im Einsatz stehen. Dieses ist aber doch recht betagt und hat heute frei erhalten. Mir persönlich hat die lockere und entspannte Stimmung gefallen. Mann/Frau macht es sich gemütlich und geniesst den Sonntag bei angenehmen Herbstwetter. Erstmals habe ich auch versucht Pferderennen zu fotografieren. Das ist gar nicht so einfach diese Stimmung aber auch die Dynamik eines Rennens festzuhalten. Interessanterweise haben Serienaufnahmen nichts gebracht. In allen Fällen war das erste Bild das Beste. Das Licht an diesem Sonntag war sehr speziell. Trotz leichter Bewölkung waren die Kontraste sehr hoch. Die Umsetzung der RAW-Files in Schwarzweiss war nicht gerade einfach; der Belichtungskontrast war definitiv hoch. Trotzdem gefallen mir die Bilder in Schwarzweiss besser als in Farbe; darum wieder einige Bilder in Schwarzweiss.
Always in
the fall there is a horse race in a village called Schwarzenburg. There are
several individual tests like: Bareback riding, mares which are accompanied by
their foals or relay races with riders and mountain bikers. There is also a
test which is carried out with Roman chariots. Competitors (or riders?) dressed
up in style with fluttering tunic, helmet etc. The whole event takes place on a
mown field. For food and drink is taken care of; vegetarian and vegan meals (at
least for now) are not needed.
This year
the Egger Brewery appeared as a special attraction with their horses, which are
still in the Bern region in service. Five horses pull the wagon, which weighs
more than 2 tons. Normally there a six horses but the sixth one is quite
advanced in years. Due to that fact this old horse got a free day. From my
point of view, I really like the casual and relaxed atmosphere. Man / woman
make herself cozy and enjoy the Sunday with pleasant autumn weather. For the
first time I've also tried to photograph horse racing. This is not easy catch the
dynamics of a race. Interestingly, with continuous shooting I have achieved
nothing. In all cases, the first image taken was the best. The light on this
Sunday was very special. Despite a few clouds the contrasts were very high. The
conversion of the RAW files in black and white was that easy; the exposure
contrast was definitely high. Nevertheless, I like the images in black and
white better than in color; therefore again some pictures in black and white
