Panoramen in der Stadt - Panoramas in the city

Panoramen in der Stadt, geht denn das? Bis vor kurzen war ich der Meinung: „Eher nicht“. Aber Mann/Frau lernt nie aus. In Bern wird im Moment das Stadt Theater renoviert.  Ein Bauzaun umgibt das gesamte Gebäude, damit die Arbeiten nicht gestört und die Passanten geschützt sind. Damit auch der hinterste und letzte merkt was da abgeht, ist die Bretterwand schwarz gestrichen und mit farbigen Plakaten des Konzert Theater Bern versehen. So lautet nämlich der neue Name des Stadt Theaters.

 

Panoramas in the city, does that work? Until recently, I thought: "Probably not." However you never know… In Bern (capital of Switzerland), the City Theater is being renovated at the moment. A fence surrounds the entire building, so that the work is not disturbed and the passersby are protected.

In order that everybody knows what’s going on, the board wall is painted black and provided with the colored posters of “Konzert Theater Bern”. This is the new name of the city theater.

"Tschou" - ist die schweizerdeutsche Version des italienischen Grusswortes "Ciao". Dieses Werbeplakat der Berner Zeitung zielt aber offenbar auf das Lied "Hello" der Sängerin Adele ab. Ich kann mir aber kaum vorstellen, dass dieser Text auf Berndeutsch übersetzt wird, obschon dies mit anderen Songs (z.B: von Bob Dylan)  ausgezeichnet gelungen ist.

"Tschou" - is the Swiss German Version of the Italian greeting word "Ciao". This ad from the "Berner Zeitung" aims apparently from the song "Hello" of Adele. From my point of view, I can hardly imagine that this text will be translated into Bernese-German. Although this this was done in an excellent manner with other songs (e.g: Bob Dylan with "Man in the Long Black Coat" translated by Polo Hofer into "Maa im schwarze Chleid").

Im Amerika finden in diesem Jahr die Präsidentschaftswahlen statt. Und wer kennt ihn nicht, Donald Trump mit seiner "Dilbert-Föhn-Frisur"? Der Guggiföhn (ein Fallwind, der Orkanstärke erreichen kann) ist im Berner Oberland bestens bekannt. Ein Wind, der sogar die weltberühmten Lauberhorn Rennen stoppen kann. Da gibt es doch gewisse Parallelen oder?
