Rettungsring - Life Ring

Auf den ersten Blick etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig; dieser Rettungsring in den Bergen. Im Sommer aber findet man hier einen Wasserspeicher für den so dringend benötigten Kunstschnee (politisch korrekt ausgedrückt: «technischer Schnee») im Winter. So weist doch dieser «fehlplatzierte» Rettungsring auf etwas hin, dass uns zumindest etwas zu denken geben sollte.

P.S.: Gilt übrigens auch für Banken (Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) bzw. Crédit Suisse) …

 

Rettungsring

At first glance, this life ring in the mountains takes a bit of explaining. In summer, however, it provides a water reservoir for the much-needed artificial snow (in politically correct terms: "technical snow") in winter. So this "misplaced" lifebuoy points to something that should at least give us something to think about.

P.S.: This also applies to banks (Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) and Crédit Suisse) ...

 

Der Stellenabbau treibt die Bühnentechniker ins Rampenlicht

Die Stadt Bern will sparen und will die Subventionen ab 2024 für die Bühne Bern kürzen. Anlässlich der Dernière der Tanzaufführung "The Loss of Nature" traten zu Beginn der Aufführung die technischen Mitarbeiter und Mitarbeiterinnen mit ihrem Anliegen ans Licht.

The City of Bern wants to save money and wants to cut the subventions for Bühne Bern from 2024. On the occasion of the derniere of the dance performance "The Loss of Nature", the technical staff came out into the light with their concerns at the beginning of the performance.

Skilift

 Es gibt sie noch, die Schlepplifte der Firma Habegger aus Thun mit den bekannten Polygonstützen. Ein „Relikt“ aus dem letzten Jahrhundert (1966). Funktioniert aber immer noch ausgezeichnet.

They still exist, ski lifts of the Habegger company from Thun with the well-known polygon supports. A "relic" from the last century(1966). But still works excellently.

Schilder / Signs

Schilder hinterlassen in (und auf) den Strassen ihre Spuren. Sehr oft ist deren Aussage mehrdeutig...

 Signs leave their mark in (and on) the streets. Very often their message is an ambiguous one...
