Strassenschilder sind definitiv keine Kunstwerke. Es gibt jedoch immer wieder Schlaumeier die einem zum Schmunzeln bringen.

1 – 60 – 14/32 -1000

Dieses Jagflugzeug (eine Hawker Hunter) ist 60 Jahre alt und fliegt immer noch. Dank den ca. 1000 Mitgliedern des Hunter Vereins Ober Simmental, die den Jet in Schwung halten. Sein Heimatflugplatz ist der Flugplatz St Stephan, der während dem 2 Weltkrieg als Reduit Flugplatz gebaut wurde. Die Startbahn ist 2km lang und weist die Start-/Landebahnkennung 14/32 auf.

Jedes Jahr gibt es ein grosses Fest wo sich alte und neue Flugzeuge in diesem engen Tal treffen.

This jet-powered fighter (a Hawker Hunter) is 60 years old and still flying. Thanks to the approx. 1000 members of the Hunter Club Ober Simmental who keep the jet going on. Its home base is the St Stephan airfield, which was built during World War II as a so called Reduit airfield. The runway is 2km long and has the runway designator 14/32.
Every year there is a big festival where old and new aircraft meet in this beautiful valley.
