Frühling / Spring

Huch was wächst denn da? Es wird Frühling! Sogar die Armierungseisen spriessen aus dem Boden!
(Gesehen am 28.03.2015 beim Bahnhof Thun. Der Grund ist einfach: Es existiert ein Entlastungsstollen, der bei Hochwasser im Thunersee geflutet wird. Das macht offenbar einen Höllenlärm. Aus diesem Grund wird nun eine Entlüftungsstollen gebaut.  Und damit dieser gebaut werden kann, muss der Belage aus Eisenbeton geöffnet werden.)

Yikes what grows there? Spring is coming! Even the rebar sprout from the soil.
(Viewed on 28.03.2015 at Thun station The reason is simple. There is a relief tunnel, is flooded at high water in Lake Thun. This obviously makes a hell of a noise. For this reason, a vent tunnels will be built. And so that it can be built, the pads must be opened from reinforced concrete.)

Niesen

Berge üben einer grosse Faszination auf gross und klein auf. Besonders wenn der oder die Berge eine spezielle Form aufweisen wie zum Beispiel das Matterhorn. Die Form soll seinerzeit einen grossen Einfluss auf die Form der Toblerone Schokolade gehabt haben. Im Kanton Bern gibt es einen Berg der ebenso faszinierend ist: Es ist der Niesen, der Hausberg der Region Thun. Abhängig von der Jahres- und Tageszeit wird dieser Pyramidenförmige Berg unterschiedlich beleuchtet.  Meine letzte Rolle des Kodachrome 64 habe ich für diesen Berg verwendet und erst kürzlich mit einem Nikon Scanner eingescannt. Zu korrigieren am eingescannten Dia gab es nicht viel. Die Farben des Kodachrome Films gefallen mir immer noch.

 

Mountains exert a great fascination for everybody. Especially if the mountain  has a special form such as the Matterhorn in Switzerland. I was told that its shape had a great influence on the shape of the famous Toblerone chocolate. In the canton of Bern there is a mountain which is equally fascinating. It is the Niesen, the mountain of Thun region. Depending on the year and day this pyramid-shaped mountain is illuminated differently. I have my last roll of Kodachrome 64 used for this mountain and recently scanned with a Nikon scanner. To correct the scanned slide there was not necessary. I still like the colors of Kodachrome film.

 

12 Bilder - mehr nicht

Ein Film mit nur 12 Aufnahmen ist heutzutage eine Herausforderung. Moderne Kameras erlauben hunderte, wenn nicht gar tausende von Aufnahmen auf einen Speicherkarte. Hat die Bildqualität zugenommen? Nun von mir aus gesehen, eher nein (Schaut man eine Serien von Aufnahmen einer modernen Kamera an, so ist in der allermeisten Fällen die erste Aufnahmen die Beste). In manchen Fällen fördert eine beschränkte Anzahl von Aufnahmen die Kreativität (dazu gibt es ein Video auf Youtube).

One Roll of Film

Today, having only 12 exposures available on a films, is quite challenging. Modern digital cameras allow us to shoot hundreds of pictures from the same view. Does the quality of the final print increase? Well, from my point of view, not. Sometimes, a shortage of (film-) material drives creativity (here an interesting Video on Youtube).

In summer time, the open air bath here in Thun is quite a busy pace. During winter time, the parking lot is used a storage for sailing and motor boats. A good place for a “12 exposure exercise”.
